TomTroc

OpenClassrooms project context :
I was tasked with developing TomTroc, a web platform designed to encourage book exchanges between individuals. The goal was to create a complete application allowing users to log in, connect with one another, and organize meetups around book sharing in a simple and friendly environment.

The project involved building a complete web application from scratch while meeting strict requirements:

• MVC architecture;
• object-oriented programming;
• no third-party libraries;
• compliance with the provided mockups and prototype;
• implementation of the business logic for users, books, and interactions.

The application also had to maintain a clean, scalable, and maintainable code structure.

I developed the entire application by structuring the project around a clear and modular MVC architecture.

More specifically, I:

• designed the full project architecture, including routes, controllers, models, and views;
• developed a user authentication system;
• implemented member profile management;
• built a system for managing and sharing books;
• developed user interactions to organize book exchanges;
• integrated the mockups in responsive HTML/CSS;
• structured the codebase with object-oriented programming to improve maintainability;
• managed the data layer with MySQL;
• versioned the project with Git and GitHub.

TomTroc is a functional web application that allows users to share and exchange books easily. This project demonstrates my ability to build a complete, structured, and maintainable application while respecting strong technical constraints and development best practices.
