OpenClassrooms project context :
As a freelance WordPress developer, I was urgently contacted by MedIT, an SME specializing in medical IT systems. Following an internal update attempt, the website had become partially unusable just a few days before a key trade show for the company. The objective was to quickly restore the site and fix the existing issues.

The website had several critical bugs affecting both administration and user experience:

• the homepage could no longer be edited in Elementor due to infinite loading;
• the popup was no longer working properly, including both closing behavior and form display;
• the Google Maps link was broken;
• there were layout issues in the navigation menu.

All of this took place in a context where the website had been altered without a testing environment, which significantly increased the risk of regressions.

I worked from a full export of the website and database in order to secure the intervention locally.

More specifically, I:

• identified and fixed the blocking Elementor issues;
• repaired the popup behavior, including display, closing, and form functionality;
• fixed the Google Maps link;
• adjusted the positioning of the contact button in the menu;
• validated the overall site functionality after the fixes;
• wrote a detailed test plan listing the issues, the applied fixes, and the expected results;
• produced an educational document on unit and functional testing to help improve the client’s internal practices.

The website was fully restored before the trade show, ensuring both a smooth user experience and a functional administration interface. The test plan helped structure the validation of the fixes, while the testing recommendations provided a solid foundation for improving the quality of the company’s future projects.
