OpenClassrooms project context:
At the beginning of my work-study placement at Booki as a web developer, I was tasked with integrating the interface of the startup’s showcase website. The goal of the project was to allow users to search for accommodations and activities in the city of their choice. To do this, I worked from a finalized mockup created by the UI designer, along with a starter codebase and a resource folder provided by the team.
The challenge was to turn a mockup into a faithful, responsive, and functional web interface while meeting precise technical constraints. I had to complete an existing HTML/CSS starter structure, preserve the required file tree, and deliver a clean, consistent integration adaptable to different screen sizes.
I built the full interface based on the provided mockup and the project summary prepared by the team. I:
The website was integrated faithfully to the mockup, with a clear, modern, and responsive interface. This project helped me strengthen my web integration fundamentals, better understand the collaboration between design and development, and produce a structured, maintainable result aligned with the CTO’s expectations.
